A standalone application built to help artists visualize and test out content on the MSG Sphere. Powered by Unreal Engine 5.

RenderBall

Designing and creating content for the Sphere presents a number of challenges. Given the size and 360 degree nature of the canvas, it's important to efficiently and accurately visualize the content from all viewing angles.

Enter RenderBall, a tool designed for quickly viewing images and video on the Sphere. This lightweight application enables designers, 2D/3D artists, art directors, creative directors, and producers to easily preview the work from all perspectives without needing additional software installed on their computers.

Features:

- Easily drop image sequences and videos (mp4, mov, jpg, png, exr)

- Set camera to predefined camera angles based on the most popular social media drone postings

- Change the time of day

- Customize content playback (speed, rotation)

- Exporting stills & video

- NDI (network device interface) connectivity for direct integration with Photoshop, Nuke, After Effects, and more

Responsibilities:
- Utilizing blueprints to implement logic for importing files, navigation, saving out images and video, changing time of day, switching cameras, and more.
- First pass UI
- Building out to Windows and Mac
